Layali Alkhaima

Where musicians and dreamers of sound come together

Layali Alkhaima, which means "Nights of the Tent" is more than a stage — it's a home for musicians who carry something bigger than their instruments. It's the place where a musician with boundless imagination and real mastery finally finds room to breathe, room he could never find playing in a band or standing behind a singer.

The name comes from its very beginning: a small tent, raised by its founder, Rayan Alsaggaf — known by his artistic name, "Oud Rayan" — a composer of many original pieces and a player with years of experience on the oud. He called it "Nights of the Tent" because that's exactly what it was: long nights spent inside that small tent with his fellow artists and musicians, nights woven entirely out of music.

Word spread. The crowds grew. Visitors began arriving from every corner of the Kingdom, and the tent slowly became something larger than itself — a true meeting point for musicians, players, and listeners alike. Anyone who visits notices it immediately: a joy in the air, a quiet astonishment at how deeply everyone there is in tune with one another.

And that is how Nights of the Tent began.

Layali Alkhaima is not a concert. It is not a passing musical evening.

It is a silent station, where stories line up disguised as instruments. Each player carries on his shoulders not just a flute or a violin, but a distant village, a memory, a tale that left its owner long ago — yet refused to truly leave him.

Here, simplicity speaks in its old, unadorned eloquence. No performed words, no proud speeches. Just:
A string trembling, playing the culture of a mountain. A breath shaking, translating the weather of an oasis. A pulse of rhythm, narrating the story of a city painted straight from the heart.

In this tent, something invisible is revealed behind every musician — his mother's face as he learned his very first note, the exhaustion of travel, a hope that never dims, a loneliness that suddenly turns into a beautiful conversation with the other players around him.

Because in Layali Alkhaima, everyone is given enough space to share a little piece of their imagination — not to boast, but to belong.

This is not simply music being played. It is music the soul listens to before the ear ever does.

Layali Alkhaima is more than a concert — it's a pure musical journey. Its founder, Oud Rayan, a composer behind celebrated pieces like Ihsas, Khayal, and Shajan, opens the stage to his musician friends, arrangers, and virtuoso performers from around the world. Together, they don't just play for their audience — they lift them, carrying fans and music lovers into a shared space where cultures blend and melodies cross every border. Each note is an invitation to imagine, to feel, and to fly. Layali Alkhaima returns every season, every 3 to 5 months, to remind us why music moves us in the first place.
